What to Bag Before Fumigation?
Not sure if an item needs to be bagged? Work through the questions below. If you still have questions, ask your Thrasher Pest Control rep.
01
First question
Is the item consumable by humans or pets?
Such as food, medicine, tobacco, vitamins, supplements, lozenges, spices, pet food, beverages, snacks, sauces, dairy, eggs, produce, wine, liquor, or anything else you can consume or swallow.
02
Second Question — if consumable
Is the item in a container made of glass, metal, or hard plastic?
Hard plastic is not easily squeezed. Note: metallic foil-lined containers such as sauce pouches, juice boxes, or blister packs are not metal containers. Metal containers are cans.
03
Third Question — if glass, metal, or hard plastic
Is the item in a container that has never been opened?
Is the original manufacturer's seal still intact? A screw top that has never been unscrewed. A can that has never been opened.
✅ Consumable items that meet both of the requirements do not need to be bagged.
- The container is glass, metal, or hard plastic
- The manufacturer’s seal has never been broken
